Power Up 110 Pit Bikes

They may be smaller than most bikes but when you’re on a 110 pit bike clocking 55 miles per hour you will soon be addicted to the excitement of this ride!  So you do not know what pit bikes are about? These cool bikes have been around for about ten years.  They are really popular in southern areas of California.   The whole idea started when regular motocross riders needed to get around the pits a lot faster.  The pit is the area where vehicles are parked and motorcross riders set up just before an event.  All Pit bikes, as well as the 110 pit bike, usually have 12 inch front wheels and ten inch back wheels.  They are basically around half of a normal dirt bike in size.  They start with 50 cc engines and then go up to more powerful 125 ccs.  Outside the pits, you can see them doing ‘paddock bashing’.  That is when they are racing, jumping and also performing tricks.
